Your "Mode" in Hitting your Goals!
Is this your mode?
Your mode or style or methods or how you go about achieving your goals and being a leader is key. We all know certain 'achievers' that create their success at the expense of others. If anything gets in their way, look out!
This "garbage skow mode" of leadership, with all kinds of porqueria and 'dead bodies' in its wake & trailing behind this achiever's success is the wrong approach. Yes, we've made the case that hitting your goal is essential, but not at any cost!
Success at any cost is counter-productive!
Do others clean up after your 'success'?
Achieving your SMART Goals with honesty, respect, responsibility, and character is much better than leaving all kinds of trash and potential problems in your dust. We've all heard some stereotypes like the used car salesman who successfully but dishonestly achieves his sales goals, but also loses all of his customers forever after. Or the leader or boss who belittles, berates and abuses his so-called 'team' members, and their loyalty and sense of mission falls apart. Or the company that makes a lot of sales and money for awhile, but provides no service and customer support. Or the egocentric self-promoter who cares about nada except his own success, destroying many good relationships and alienating others in the process. Getting the picture?
Now, more than ever before, good relationships are extremely important to a person's ongoing success. These relationships need to be built, nurtured, and supported.
If you do things the right way, you'll hit many more goals in the long run, too!
